A Feng Shui experts role is to notice the obvious and recommends removing objects in your pathways, remove unnecessary clutter and may casually fling out a colorful looking compass. All in an effort to create a positive atmosphere in your house and this makes sense regardless if it's being done in the name of Feng Shui or just simply some needed spring cleaning.

However from the Taoists we learn that Feng Shui operates on a metaphysical surface.

The concept of Feng Shui is how to direct energy to harmonize and balance the yin and yang that every object emits. In this context it is your emotional nature that is reacted to its surroundings, and to appease it you stimulate its balance by taking action. This is true in all forms of magic both high and low and it is mostly your intention that qualifies what is positive and what is negative.

"It will keep you on edge subtly and constantly using your body"

Your consciousness is constantly scanning its environment both physically and metaphysically, it will feel energy of water going down a sing, even when the sink is not being used, It will feel the weakness from the sounds of the creaks of a floorboard and the beams around the walls even when the flooring is visually secure and the beams are fully supported by the house. It will feel a heaviness when you with your back to the door. This is your 4th dimensional feeling the compression, obstructions and distortions that surround you and it is affecting your qi.

It will keep you on edge subtly and constantly using your body, especially your visuals to hint at an issue that physically to the untrained expert, isn't there. It is essentially trying to get your attention and If we are attentive to these subtle communications we can take action to remove the obstruction and that's when magic happens.

"The goal of Feng Shui is inner harmony and union"

By applying Feng Shui to the process of resolving these problems will allow the conscious to manifest our spirit's relationships with it's surrounding qi. The goal of Feng Shui is inner harmony and union. This union is referred to as an alchemical marriage; the harmonisation of yin and yang.

Certai Taoists will use the principles of Feng Shui to create a specific energy or atmosphere in their sacred space. Here are a few ways they incorporate Feng Shui:

  1. Using specific colors: In Feng Shui, different colors are associated with different energies and can be used to create a specific atmosphere in a space. For example, red brings passion and energy to the space, and green is used to bring healing and growth.

  2. Incorporating crystals: Crystals are often used in Feng Shui to bring positive energy, or qi, into a space. Crystals are believed to have specific energies or properties, such as amethyst for calm and balance or citrine for prosperity and abundance.

  3. Use of plants: In Feng Shui, plants are believed to bring positive energy and life force to a space. Incorporating plants into a space brings a sense of growth and abundance.

  4. Use of water elements: In Feng Shui, water is associated with flow and abundance. Working near a waterfall or Incorporating a fountain/other water elements into their works bring a sense of flow and abundance.

  5. Creating a balanced layout: In Feng Shui, balance is an important principle. Arranging altars and other objects is a way that creates a sense of balance and harmony, which supports the energy of their work.
