Your home has the power to heal, calm and nurture you when it is aesthetically pleasing to your eye and your innate intuition.

With some small changes you can turn your home to a safe zone of tranquillity and it requires minimal effort. Simply look around your home and see what space could use an infusion of more natural light.

"it is natural to assume synthetic material is dead inside"

You should have the freedom to add organic accents in your house if you are happy with your décor. Natural organic material are fresher than the synthetics of manufactured products, such as polymers. However, although it is natural to assume synthetic material is dead inside and offers no valuable energy, be practical in your decisions for home refurbishment.

For example you may try substituting real plant life for plastic or faux plants as certain plants may attract critters and poorly maintained plants can become subject to disease. Before you dwell deeply into the core of Feng Shui vibrations as a self starter you should try to feel more in sync with nature visually.

"Start with the most easily accessible room"

In your home it is important that the entire house is comfortable and spacious. Start with the most easily accessible room to you, that won't affect your other housemates or family. While creating more spaces is important, don't create a void. Too much space can also be overwhelming and feel like you are being sucked into a point of singularity where all eyes are on you. This in no way is similar to a calm natural environment.

You should always use natural colors, light and natural furnishing in your room. You want to create a cosy and calm room where you can unwind and rejuvenate from the chaos of the world outside. When you walk into your room ask yourself the following questions:

If there is light in the room? Is there a point of beauty in the room?

Is there a feeling of harmony amongst the furniture?

Is there a deliberate sign of order in the room?

Have I entered a place of peace?

The answers may seem obvious if you're looking for a checklist of confirmations, but remind yourself, that Feng Shui is not a set of instructions however is more a representation of the desires of the inner soul.
